As this year comes to an end, we are happy to announce that we have officially received are 501(c)(3) determination letter!! So as this year ends and a new year starts in 2019 , we are excited for what the new year has to offer. We will be applying for new grants to help fund our mission and find a suitable building to move in to. We have some hurtles to over come, but with some hard work and help we will be on the way to support our mission.
2018 in review...
We started the process to obtain our 501(c)(3) status in April. We formed our board, and start collecting donations. In August, we lost a founding member and close friend. It was an unexpected blow, not just to Lost Treasures but to all of his friends and family! He's heart was to help others!
As the year ended, Lost Treasures was able to give clothes and miscellaneous items to His Way (a male half-way house that helps men get back on their feet after battling a drug/alcohol addiction. We also received a donation of unopened toys. Those toys were donated to the Rock Family Worship Center, who though their mission provided toys to orphans and families who could not provide Christmas.
Lost Treasures Inc. would like to thank everyone who donated this year!! A special thank you to Huntsville Utilities for their grant! We look forward to the new year and the people/families we will be able to help with
As the weather is still cold, we are collecting blankets and coats to help provide comfort to the least of these.
